The Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park is a must-visit. The beauty on this island is unparalleled. There are so many different excursions offered that you’ll want to try a new one everyday. It’s a fun, vibrant, educational experience with more than 50 acres and 100 animals. There are even nocturnal tours throughout the island for those that love to stay up late.

For something with a bit more edge, check out the island’s quad bike adventures. The company offers thrilling rides through wild terrain, caves and coastline.

2. The History

Soldier settlements, maritime museums and conservation parks make up just a small portion of the unique antiquity of the island. Check out local landmarks and museums to piece together a truly exceptional aspect of Australian history. Notable visits include Hope Cottage Museum (built in 1856) and Cape Willoughby Lightstation and Conservation Park for magnificent coastal views.

3. The Scenery

A couple of sites that cannot be missed on any visit to Kangaroo Island are the miraculous rock formations of Admirals Arch and Flinders Chase by the cliff side. Visitors will also want to check out the variety of blossoming bush gardens, azure lagoons, stunning conservations parks and the endless coastline just waiting to be discovered through walking tours and hiking paths.

If you decide to venture beneath the water, you’ll find there’s even more to explore. Try scuba diving to see historic, sunken vessels off of Cape Borda. Or check out the ancient lighthouse keeper records for tales of mysterious shipwrecks and treacherous waters.
