Also, in this lively city you have the opportunity to taste cuisines from all over the world! We’ve lined up some of these world kitchens for you to try out when you’re visiting Brisbane.

Let’s start in Mexico why don’t we? Who doesn’t love a good sangria and some spicy, fresh Mexican food? A very good spot to taste this food alongside some fresh tropical drinks is at Mucho Mexicano. The food is traditional yet polished making it some of the very best Mexican food you’ll find in Brisbane. You will find all your favourite classic Mexican dishes in a colourful environment making you feel like you’ve stepped into a true Mexican Taverna.

Next you can try some Vietnamese mixed with some Australian. At Jimmy Wah‘s you will find some utterly delicious Vietnamese cuisines with a modern Australian influence. Jimmy Wah’s is located in the heart of Burleigh where you can enjoy the food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You can find dairy free dishes as well as many vegetarian options. On Sundays they have an excellent banquet with Bottomless Beer & Bubbles. Definitely worth a try!

If you want a bit more of a traditional, authentic Vietnamese experience then find Vietnam House. The Head Chef is deeply dedicated to the kitchen and delivers some of the very best Vietnamese food in Brisbane. Each dish is full of flavour and colour and truly yummy. Whether you are looking for a good lunch spot or a late night meal or even take-out, this is a place to try for a trip to Vietnam!

Next you have the option to try some of the best in Australian. The Fishmonger’s Wife is the winner of Australia’s Best Fish n Chips in 2008 and 2009 and absolutely a stop worth making if you like fish and chips. This is speciality fish and chips cafe with both traditional high quality fish and chips but they also serve up some original recipes for marinated seafood and freshly prepared salads. Many gluten-free options as well. Come dine in or take-out as you please, but make sure to try it out.

Now you are in Australia you should sample some of the best Australian food. To do that in Brisbane Pony Dining is a fantastic option with modern Australian cuisine prepared on a wood fire grill. This is quite the place! It is regarded as the pioneers of the wood fire grill and there is an honest flavour driven menu where the best of Australian produce is used to make spectacular dishes. And don’t just go here for the food. Pony Dining is located on the lively riverfront area of Eagle Street Pier. So while sampling the delicious food you can enjoy waterfront dining with views across the Brisbane River.

Let’s go European now and how about starting in France? A great French restaurant in Brisbane is Lutéce. Lutéce Bistro and Wine Bar serves some delicious traditional French cuisine with a modern Alsatian twist. You can enjoy the food with some exceptional panoramic views over Mt Coot-tha. This is fine dining at its best.

Next up in Europe, Italian food! Salt Meats Cheese located in Gasworks will give you that magical taste of Italy, but with a spectacular little twist. Salt Meats Cheese is a family owned Italian restaurant group expanding all over Australia. In Gaswork in Brisbane you can visit their new location where an Italian Riviera style fit-out opens to an al fresco dining area right over the park. Try to hit them up Monday where they have All You Can Eat Pizza.

How about Korean? Nom Nom Korean is definitely a spot to try some great traditional Korean food. It is Korean fusion style cuisine in a street-food style and very affordable allowing you to sample many of the glorious dishes on their tasty menu. If you are thirsty they have great draft beer too.

Finally, if you simply cannot decide what cuisine to choose, how about mixing them all? Mrs Brown’s Bar & Kitchen will be the place to do that. Find tacos, spring rolls, Korean fried Cauliflower or even yummy pizza. So if you don’t know what direction to go with the never ending worldly cuisine in Brisbane, Mrs Browns delivers a bit of everything in a great, friendly atmosphere. Also come here to enjoy happy hour Sunday to Thursday 5pm-7pm!
