Alberta Flights Guide

Alberta, a Western province of Canada, is loved for its cowboy environment and its capital of Edmonton. Despite the rodeos, non-cowboys can still feel at home, enveloped by the Rocky Mountains called the "Canadian Rockies" with the Banff and Jasper national parks. The wildlife, glaciers, camping, and skiing opportunities make Alberta a beautiful mountain getaway. But, it's not all hilly; there are a number of prairies, deserts, and forests in Alberta to explore, too.

Calgary is Alberta's most well known city, and has the largest population of all the towns within Alberta. Seated upon the Bow RIver, Calgary is beloved for its Calgary Stampede every summer and the cityline meets coastline view at Prince Island's Park. Fly into Calgary International or Edmonton International Airport. Alberta has very warm summer months of June through August, but frigid winter months of November through February - if you're open to the skiing adventures in the mountains, dare to venture to Alberta in these winter months. But, the hiking and sightseeing is just as pleasurable and much warmer in the summer months.
