Anguilla Flights GuideAnguilla, located on the Eastern Caribbean sea, is a British territory comprised of a main island and many separate offshore inlets. It has many popular beaches and resort towns, and is particularly famous for wildlife conservation sites such as East End Pond and Big Spring Caves, one of the most famous and important petroglyph findings in or around the North American continent.
The de facto capital and largest city of Anguilla is commonly known as "The Valley." Its population is only roughly 1,000 people, and there are very few prominent architectural outposts of impressive administrative buildings. Most popular destinations for travelers include Maundays Bay, near the impressive Cap Juluca beach.
The only international airport on the island is Clayton J Lloyd International Airport, located near The Valley. Though it does feature international flights to North America and beyond, many travelers prefer to fly to nearby St. Maarten, particularly, Princess Juliana International Airport. Anguilla has the tropical climate so well-known in the Caribbean. However, trade winds from the northeast help moderate the temperature and keep the island cool and dry, relative to other nearby islands. It's hottest seasons is between July and October, and the cooler months last from December to February.
