Bahrain is also connected to Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway, a series of incredible bridges and causeways that link the countries together.
Bahrain experiences a desert climate, with blistering summers and general dry heat during the day that cools significantly in the evening. The best time to visit is between November ad mid-March so as to avoid the summer heat. The country's international airport, Bahrain International, is located in Muharraq, about seven kilometers from the capital.
