Bangkok Flights Guide

Bangkok is the capital and most populated city in Thailand. The Chao Phraya River delta flows through Thailand emptying into the Gulf of Thailand. Bangkok's top attractions are Chatuchak Weekend Market, Banglamphu, Wat Phra Kaew, Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Traimit (Golden Buddha), and Wat Pho.

From Bangkok, you can take the train or fly to Chiang Mai. You can fly from Bangkok to Phuket, Surat Thani, and Krabi. You can take the train or drive from Bangkok to Pattaya.

Bangkok has three seasons: hot, rainy, and cool. Temperatures are hot year round despite the three seasons. The southwest monsoon arrives in Bangkok in mid-May, bringing with it rainy season that lasts until October with September as the wettest month. The northeast monsoon comes from October to February bringing with it cool and dry weather. The hot season is from March to mid-May with the highest temperature averages and the occasional thunderstorms. The best time to visit Bangkok is during the cool season when the temperatures are at their lowest of the year, sunshine is abundant, and rainfall is low. Late December to early January is peak tourist season in Bangkok but you can visit in November or February if you wish to avoid the crowds.
