Colorado Flights Guide

Colorado boasts the most well known mountain ranges and skiing opportunities because of the Rocky Mountains; people travel from around the world to vacation in Aspen, Vail, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and of course Colorado's capital, Denver. The mountain ranges are acclaimed for their fluffy snow and sunny year-round climate, making it the premier destination for skiing and snowboarding. Boulder is another city in Colorado that offers the same gorgeous hiking trails, mountain vistas, creeks, and wildlife of elk and buffalo. Denver is called the "Mile High City" because it is 5280 feet above sea level, and the Denver International Airport will be your top choice for your flight in. However, there are smaller airports in neighboring cities: the Colorado Springs Airport and the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport.

Although Colorado is thought of for its winter wonderland, it has the most sunny days of the year of any of the other United States - so, despite subzero temperatures in the months of December through March, the sun is often shining bright. The climate in Denver is also very dry. Visit in the winter months of December through March for the best snow for skiing, or the summer months of May through September for hiking, exploring Denver, and camping - it is much warmer.
