Congo Flights Guide

The Democratic Republic of Congo is located in Central Africa and is the second largest country in the continent as well as the eleventh largest country in the world. Congo is a nature lover's dream surrounded with wildlife, volcanoes and a wild landscape. Orphaned baboons are sanctuaried at Lola Ya Bonobo near Kinshasa while the extinct volcano site of Kahuzi and Biega is now Kahuzi Biega National Park, home to endangered gorillas, elephants, and antelopes. A more active volcano is found at Nyiragongo Volcano in Goma reaching over 3000 metres high. The capital city of Kinshasa dates back to the 19th century and is filled with markets and art to help you indulge in the Congo culture.

There are four international airports in Congo with the largest being Kinshasa International Airport or N'djili Airport. Regular flights from this airport head to European cities, as well as major African cities.
Congo sits right on the equator creating a hot and humid climate near the river, and a cooler drier climate in the highlands. The wet season brings frequent thunderstorms and falls during the months of October through May in the south and from April through November in the north.
