Visit the Derby Jetty and Wharf down the main street to try fresh fish and feet the locals, and visit the quirky and almost unbelievable Boab Prison Tree. Savannah Way is a great place for camping, and there is much to investigate within the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre. Other attractions include the Galvans Gorge and Horizontal Falls.
A flight to Perth is just under three hours, or drive along the coast to Coral Bay. Temperatures never exactly get low - but try not to visit in the summer months of December through February (very hot!) but rather in the winter months of June through August, when it's cooler.
