The Republic of Moldova is an Eastern European country formerly a part of Romania. Chisinau is the country's capital and largest city with a variety of entertainment options including bars, restaurants, galleries and clubs. Visit the Nativity Cathedral or the World War II Memorial to indulge in some of the country's history. The nearby archaeological complex of Orheiul Vechi dates back to 10th century BC and beyond while the Manastirea Curchi holds stunning architecture from the 19th century.
