Buffalo is an easy 30 minute drive from the main Niagara Falls area with busses and shuttles also available between the two cities. Busses are also available to take visitors to the bustling city of New York by taking the Maple Leaf train and transferring at Syracuse.
Spring and summer are generally warm and sunny while crisp weather starts to creep in during the picturesque fall. Ice and snow is common during the winter months. The summer months from June through August is peak season in Niagara Falls bringing warm weather with the nearby falls mist to keep visitors cool. Expect a lot of tourists during this time of year as local attractions are in full swing. Things quiet down during the spring and autumn as the weather is cooler while most attractions are closed during the cold winter season.
