Panama Flights Guide

Unique due to its linking of Central and South America, Panama is most famous for the Panama Canal, which links the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and created a hugely important shipping route. The capital, Panama City, is located at the Pacific entrance of this route, and offers a beautiful historic center for tourists to explore, called Casco Viejo. Casco Viejo is reminiscent of colonial-era times, with cobblestoned streets and a mellow vibe.

Panama has a tropical climate with distinct dry and wet seasons, and the best time to plan to visit is between January to May. Of note is that it is also quite safely located, out of the path of most natural disasters with the exception of minor earthquakes. Travelers arriving to Panama will arrive in Panama City's international airport, Tocumen International.
