The coastal and historical city of Zadar sits on Croatia's Dalmatian Coast. Visitors will see the Land Gate on their way into the walled off Old Town dating back to the middle ages. Experience medieval life at the Roman Forum and see nearby St. Donatus' Church. The whimsical Sea Organ was installed in 2005 and is much newer than St. Anastasias Cathedral dating back to the 1100s.

Zadar airport has flights leading to popular European destinations including Brussels, Dublin, Paris, Stockholm, and Frankfurt especially during the summer season. While the Zadar bus station has routes running to Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, and Rijeka. The train station connects Zadar to Zagreb in over 5 hours and Split in 3.5 hours.

Zadar has a Mediterranean climate with a borderline humid subtropical climate with mild, wet winters as well as warm, humid summers.Visiting during the months of June and September are ideal as temperatures are warm and the city is a little less crowded. The months of July and August are bustling and hot while October brings cooler weather but will make it hard to enjoy water activities as the ocean will become too cold.
